Can i switch a new number to my existing plan

I just don't want to keep my existing number any more, but I want to get my plan. Can I get a new number to my existing plan?

Optus seem to have a proceedure for changing existing numbers (for harrasing calls / sms) - they say to call and talk. not sure if they will just do it on request.

I'm pretty sure you can do it on request but it'll cost you. They'll do it for free if you're being harrassed 🙂
