Activate Mobile Broadband SIM

My Mobile broadband is not working, I have the router and sim has been activated and I have turned it on and off a number of times. I activated the SIM over 4 hours ago and still not working. Why doesn’t it work as explained Optus? It would appear initially that your marketing is false.
