Why has my optus mobile coverage gone downhill rhis past 4 months? Often Dropping to one bar or even 3g and timing out alot more than it used to.

One would think its the huge number of people unemployed/working from home during a pandemic.

Hi @Alpal212, sorry about your mobile connection issue. There could be many factors affecting this. Can be the type of connection you get at a particular tower for e.g. 3g, 3g plus or 4g. Not all towers have 4G. If there is too much traffic at the tower then the service will connect to the next available network h+ (3G plus). The number of people connecting at the same time at one place to the same towers can also affect the connection.


There could even be a fault reported in your area → Network page. Has any → basic troubleshooting helped?
