For 3 months I have been trying to disconnect/cancel an extra phone number to my home which served as a fax number for my business. It should be a simple thing to do - it is not the only number we have. The other number will still be active. It should not require the visitation of any staff member or technician to do this. I understand that Covid has made many things take longer but I can't understand why no support teams or staff could be available to initiate this simple change. How many more bills do I have to pay with no usage before this number can be disconnected? Ringing the 133937 number is no help whatsoever.
When you finally get the fax number disconnected, just tell them to give you a refund everything you have paid back to the date you first requested/tried to cancel. You should have very little problem getting the refund.

I had a similar problem a few months ago. I was able to fix it by porting my number to the online faxing service eFax. I used their 30-day free trial to transfer my fax number, and I was originally going to cancel it. I actually ended up keeping my subscription, as online faxing is way better than regular faxing.
