Optus mobile homebroadband. Have had service for years and issues started a few days ago. Red light on modem. Fixes itself when turning modem off and on again, but happens repeatedly throughout the day and night. Sometimes OK for a few hours. Sometimes happens again almost immediately. Huwai B525s-65a - just short of 2 years old. Tried logging in and forcing modem to 4G only but got a red light almost immediately. Looking for any suggestions as to where my problem lies - modem? SIM card? No known mobile outages in the area.

@clairekapernick I suggest you download either LTEHMonitor or LTEInspecture and check out the modem stats that the programs show (only need to grab one as they show similar info).
Both program also allow you to select different bands. I would suggest disabling B40 and see how you go. If it fixes the problem then log a fault with Optus that the B40 band is not working correctly.
