I have just recently come across a problem where i can't access an email server for work emails - this has previously worked fine but has recently been rejected. I am on cable broadband and still have full access to my optus email and internet - no other problems to report. How can i tell if my IP address is being blocked, or could you suggest some other reason I can't reach this mail server? It's fine if i connect through my mobile phone data [Vodafone]

Is the email server run by your employer? If yes, contact them and ask them to check their blocking mechanisms for your IP address (which you can find by www.whatismyip.com)
If you run your own, where is it hosted? What kind of server is it (exchange, Gmail, etc?)
