Waited for weeks to get the nbn modern and was told a technician will come and connect my unit to the nbn about a week ago. Got an sms that i have been connected but up till today, nothing is working. The guy from india is asking me to wait for a month before another technician can come and fix their mess

Do you still have your old internet service?
You should be able to arrange for a technician much sooner than that. CS people can often give different answers. I'd ruing or LIVECHAT back and request someone be sent out ASAP.
Failing that request that any contract be concluded (due to lack of service) and you'd like to go elsewhere.

Thanks Peter for your response. I am still with Optus and there's no internet access even when I connect the old modern back.
