Re: Update 4G Plans given new cheaper 5G Pricing

How is this even a solution. It has nothing to do with the question.

I want to know why a new service is a greater generation, got unlimited bandwidth where a previous generation im stuck paying for has only 500GB.

I dont care for the oh be fair to the ISP.

Re: Update 4G Plans given new cheaper 5G Pricing

Because the available "resource" on 5g is far greater then what is available on 4g.

Did someone on Yes Crowd answer your question?

Re: Update 4G Plans given new cheaper 5G Pricing

There are two separate issues (variables) here that mean what the OP what's can't happen.

1) Performance - 4G simply cannot provide more bandwidth so you can't increase plans to unlimited. 5G can do unlimited.

2) Price - 4G is priced to cover the costs of running the current network (98% of customers). Optus can't reduce the price otherwise they start making a loss.

Ultimately 5G will be priced roughly the same as 4G and give the possible benefit of unlimited plans. But for now Optus is unable to vary the 4G plans in the way the OP wants.
