anybody know what to do when technician is not showing up on the appointment date and even customer service can not find my profile in the database. It’s funny that Optus even sent me an email reminding me to active my account and will charge me within five days...

This is an NBN techncian? It happens.
A lot of Optus emails are automated so don't worry too much about those.
Just contact Optus and say it was a no show and book another date. In this instance, Optus have no control over NBN Techs directly so they can only schedule another day.

But the service is ADSL.... not NBN yet...
Oops. Tend to forget there's still 20% of the population that the NBN hasn't arrived for yet.
Well then, this does seem like something Optus should be handling for you. I'd suggest contact LIVECHAT or FACEBOOK and ask where your technician is.
