Home wireless broadband has randomly gone down from approximately 6mbps down to 0.01mbps for the past 2 days have contacted optus and they have given me nothing besides the usual restart the modem, take the sim card out etc.
Has anyone else experienced this before and have had a solution to the the situation?
Hi @Jacknife, have you exceeded your monthly data allowance? Once your data usage reaches the allowance, the service will be slowed to 256Kbps until your next bill cycle. If this is not the case, have you been able to check our Network Status page to see if there are currently any faults in your area?
Me too I have a Huawei portable WiFi. I did a speed test and got 0.08 kilobytes per second. 3 days to download less than 1gb WTF. It was ok up till a week ago and I still have 130gb of data left. But when I use my Telstra phone to hotspot I got far better results ay least 1mb.
Sorry to hear this @Eddymofo. If the service has been previously working at full speed, your current issues are most likely caused by tower maintenance or outages. Have you checked your address in the Network Status page provided above?
