Re: Slow 4g moblie broadband

I am in Camberwell and having the same SLOW issue and have only had modem for 2 mths!

I got given a new sim when I showed them the speeds I was getting and have moved the Huawei B525 modem around my unit but still no change.

If I hotpot to my Telstra mobile - Boom! I have a fast speed and can connect to Netflix and Foxtel Go and websites with mo lag  . . .on my brand new laptop with i7core.

Extremely disappointed and locked into a 24mth contract and would like a resolution!

Re: Slow 4g moblie broadband

Hi slowpoke,
Thank you for raising this issue and disappointing to hear the trouble you're having.

Is that Camberwell, Victoria? We don't see any reported network issues there.
This is not something that we can assist with here on the forum as we don't have visibility or access to customer accounts.

If you have a social media account, please send a PM to Optus on Facebook or a DM on Twitter with the details.

Re: Slow 4g moblie broadband

I'm on Eliott Ave. 2 Streets away. It's very bad inside my apartment. I'm getting 1mbps max when I test next to the windows or doors. When I try it on the main road out in the open, I get the same results. When I try it in Carnegie library, I get 2 bars and get 3mbps. Telstra gets 50mbps easy in most places around Carnegie.

Re: Slow 4g moblie broadband

We're unable to provide a resolution here on our public forum I'm afraid.

Please contact Optus, a replacement SIM has been tried, it may be a faulty modem?
