Secure Login to Webmail

How can I permanently set the Optus webmail login to choose Secure button and not the Standard button (just under the username input)

Yeldarb

Thank yu9 for the reply.

i took the following steps

I entered https://webmail.optusnet.com.au in address then

clicked onto Bookmarks then

Bookmark this page, then

saved in Bookmarks bar

But when I now click on the Optus Webmail icon, iyt still comes up with the Standard button selected.

Re: Secure Login to Webmail

Providing it displays the https with no errors then it is secure. Many browsers force security so the buttons subsequently do nothing.

Re: Secure Login to Webmail

What device and browser are you using as it may not be supported. I have read that Google Chrome in both the desktop and mobile versions are the preferred browser for the Optus site. I would assume that the latest versions of Firefox and Safari should also do the job.

Re: Secure Login to Webmail

Hi

Thanks again

I use Chrome, Windows 10 on HP laptop.

I am not sure but it may have started when I switched to Windows 10.

I also have used (and removed) two password managers incl LastPass. I now use Trend Micro. No idea if that matters. I also use Adblock Plus. I did use HTTPS Everywhere for awhile (I thought it would help with this issue)

Re: Secure Login to Webmail

The version of Chrome you are using should automatically send you to the secure port. If it’s not doing that then I would be looking at the additional software you have installed or uninstalled as you may have inadvertently changed or corrupted the bowsers settings.

Re: Secure Login to Webmail

I noticed a week ago the login page now has "secure" auto selected on my screen.
