Sagemcom 5366TN and 5366TN LAN connection issue

We have an update from the community team regarding an issue that’s been reported by some users of the Sagemcom 5366TN and 5366TN LTE modem (Optus Ultra WiFi modem).


What’s the issue?

If you’ve disabled WiFi and are using a LAN only connection, you may find that you’re unable to access the internet after restarting your device(s).

The issue only occurs when shutting down your device(s) and attempting to reaccess the internet after starting up your device(s).

Temporary work around

After turning on a device that’s connected to a LAN port on your modem, restart your modem by switching the power button off and then on again. If you’re having difficulty, refer to the modem quick start guide for instructions.    

How are we resolving the issue?

We are working on a firmware update that will address the issue. As soon as we’re ready to roll out the update, we’ll communicate more information in this thread.

We thank you for patience whilst we work on a fix for the issue.

When powering off and on electronic equipment the power should be left off long enough for the capacitors in the electronic equipment to discharge. The usual time is to leave the power off for 10 seconds before turning the device back on as this should be long enough for 99.999% of equipment.

If you haven't already, can you please try restarting your modem by switching the power button off and then on again? If the issue still persists, I will reach out to our relevant team and request for an update on the issue.
