Sagecom f@st 3864 wifi security options

Hi all,

Just looking to change the wi-fi security on my modem to WEP...

(i know its old an unsupported) but i have an old modem which i'm using as repeater to get coverage in my shed.

However, when i look at the wireless security settings all the authentication settings are:

  • None
  • WPA-PSK
  • WPA2-PSK
  • Mixed WPA2/WPA-PSK

Nothing about WEP...

But the optus website states in the spec that this modem does have WEP.

Please help

@BucasLurton  Hi, any reason why you don't want to use WPA2-PSK ? Better security and better speed than WEP.

Re: Sagecom f@st 3864 wifi security options

Just have an old but decent ADSL2 netgear modem that i can use as a repeater and will only work in this mode with no security or WEP...

So i could have issues with WEP in relation to speed?

worth investing on a new wifi router/repeater or even pull a cat6 cable to your shed. The new wifi will provides you with better security, bandwidth and speed.
