if i were to convert the Netgear CG3000 to brige mode, can i use a different SIP agent from my Optus cable service to maintain phone service?
Does Optus have SIP settings so i can program into such a device?
Hey @peekay, apologies for the delayed response here. You're welcome to test out your own equipment/set up, though I'm afraid we're not able to provide SIP information. Hopefully one of your fellow Yes Crowd users might be able to shed some light on their own experience 🙂
Hi, I know this is an old posting from last year.
Is it still the case today ? Can we get the SIP settings information from Optus to register our own device instead of using the phone port on the cable modem ?

Nothing has changed I'm afraid. We're still unable to give out modem SIP settings.
Our SIP settings aren't made public and are hard-coded into your Optus supplied modem.
I've seen work arounds posted here in the past, it might be worth digging around the forum.
