I'm not jumping for joy totally. It has improved to the point that I can now send emails. But it is still quite slow. I just sent an email with a 5MB attachment and it took 3 mins and 26 seconds. By comparison the same email took 67 seconds to send via my Optus email address to the same recipient email address, being another Optus email address. Perhaps I just have slow internet at the moment. Grateful for small mercies, at least it's a step in the right direction. Congratulations to everyone for oushing hard.

Time has improved this morning. Same 5Mb file just took 1min 40 seconds to go. Last night was probably more congested. At least it's useable now. Tracert was better this morning also. Just hope it stays stable now. Also hoping once the Asian cable is fixed things pick up as the traffic is diluted through more routes again.
@ozeannie if it helps any I have both Optus 4G and Telstra 4G, both with up to date fast modems.
I just sent an identical email with a 4.6Mb file attached from my Rackspace account to a Gmail account, the elapsed time includes sending the message and saving it to the sent folder at Rackspace.
Optus was 1:05
Telstra was 1:04
So no difference really, I think what your seeing is just regular congestion that varies throughout the day and depends on the route taken, but isn't a symptom of the routing misconfiguration that seems to have been resolved, those issues were far worse.
Thanks for that. Yes the 5 Mb message I sent last night that took about 3.5 minutes took 1 min 40 secs this morning. I hold my breath when it takes that long that it is going to fail, but I agree it is going much better. Thank goodness it is at least now working. We rely on these emails to run our business.
