I moved into a new house 1 month ago and I've had issues connecting to the Internet. The Internet connection issues have now been resolved. However, the speed is unbearably slow. Both wifi and Ethernet are very slow. My mobile reception is also very poor. I only live 2km from CBD and 2.5 from the exchange. I've spent hours on hold to tech support most nights this week. Network diagnostics state the issue is with the router. I have a Netgear N300 wireless ADSL2 + modem router DGN2200. I've had it since signing up with Optus about 4 years ago- does it need upgrading?
I can't afford to pay $90/month for Internet I can't use. Please help!
