Request: Optus to make second Wireless plans month to month

Hi @Optus ,

Just a thought that there are probably a lot of wireless customers that haven't been able to boost their data allowance (or got any free bonus data). I believe you can already buy a second plan if you want for the same property and swap the SIMs.  The problem is at the moment its also a 24 month contract.

Was thinking that a sensible solution might be to offer a bolt on service that can be month to month only. Perhaps another 500Gb or if data is an issue just an extra 200Gb. Ideally customers could just use it via their first SIM but sending out a second also works. Of course charge for it appropriately.

Just an idea.

They already can be if you dont order then via website.
READ the CIS.

E.G.

Minimum total cost on month-to-month plans
Does not include any additional device repayments (if applicable) $85

If you already have the plan + approved device then you can request SIM ONLY month to month.

Nice. Then perhaps all Optus need to do is make it more obvious and not just in the CIS.

Well this poor person managed to sign up month to month BYO with a non supported device - so people have figured this out.

Also the website does have a 24 months and month to month toggle to switch (but month to month still involves router outright and needs a 3rd option where you agree that you have one of the approved devices already before you can order)

"24 months and month to month toggle to switch"

Maybe its just me but I always miss that toggle. Not sure if its just me but it just seems too subtle and not in the place I expect.
