We have been trying and failing (miserably) to get our cable internet reconnected after a renovation.
our electrician has run a cable to the Optus box on the side of the house and we simply need the connection making inside the box ......
we have had 2 cancelled appointments and on the third the tech walked away after 30 seconds because it wasn’t NBN (we don’t live in an NBN area)
Is your electrician a licensed and qualified AUSTEL technician?
Did they use RG-6 Quadshield Coax cable with F-Connector ends?
You simply need to contact Optus and ask them to reconnect the Optus service after the renovations, it's not a difficult request.
