Reconnecting cable internet after a reno

We have been trying and failing (miserably) to get our cable internet reconnected after a renovation.

our electrician has run a cable to the Optus box on the side of the house and we simply need the connection making inside the box ......

we have had 2 cancelled appointments and on the third the tech walked away after 30 seconds because it wasn’t NBN (we don’t live in an NBN area)

any suggestions?

Re: Reconnecting cable internet after a reno

Is your electrician a licensed and qualified AUSTEL technician?

Did they use RG-6 Quadshield Coax cable with F-Connector ends?

You simply need to contact Optus and ask them to reconnect the Optus service after the renovations, it's not a difficult request.

I'm a Yes-Crowd Contributor, not an Optus Employee, and I contribute on a voluntary basis. Did someone on Yes Crowd answer your question? Did they share a great tip Please remember to acknowledge their awesomeness by throwing a Kudo and or Accepted Solution their way.

Re: Reconnecting cable internet after a reno

Are you on an existing plan or just wanting to start up again?

What NBN Tech will you be getting when it arrives? Check here

At this stage just forget the complexities and request either Telstra or Optus sign you up. After that they will do the rest.
