Reconnect the wifi

We had the internet before,  it was disconnected when  we moved out. Now can we reactivate the internet, we have the modem, still see the wifi, just when we connect the wifi, it said that the internet is not available. We ask someone on live chat, and he required us to pay for new set up fee, include new modem which we dont need. What should i do? Looking for another provider?

You definitely need to apply for a new service. If you're unhappy with what Optus can/will offer you, then yes you should look for another provider.
