Possible scam

yurek

Has anybody else  come accross  a survey  circulating around  the internet purportedly from Optus offering the chance to acquire a a Samsung S9 phone as an incentive. Howevever  anybody who completes the survey will find out they have  been tricked into joining a dating website

General Internet safety rule.

Don't do surveys to try win prizes.

Monthly

This also just came up for me and was just looking through to see if it was a scam or not.

So far no one can say.

it looks legit so I emailed Optus for an answer, sadly they haven’t got back to me yet

Apologies @Monthly if I was too circumspect.

It is a scam. They are all scams (and even if 1 in 10 isn't why risk completing the other 9?)

Total scam. Sitting behind the survey and the small print is an agreement that you get signed up for a dating service at a cost of $39 US a month. The company will stop the deductions and repay what yiu’ve paid if  make a fuss. But  best to stay away from anything that sounds too goodbye to be true.
