Depending on the technology type, the technician may activate the service remotely. For example, FTTN customers are generally activated from the NODE that servers your street. Have you received a modem from us? Some FTTFC customers are also sent self-installation kits. That'll includes an Optus supplied modem and an NCU (NBN connection box).
For other technology types, like NBN-Cable - it depends on the infrastructure and hardware that's already in place. If you do not have an NTD, we'll arrange for an NBN technician to come and install the device.
