Optus email delayed messages

Why is email suddenly being delayed, not only on my email address, but accross all addresses on my account users are complaining a message sometimes takes up to 4-6 hours to come through, its 3pm and you have been reading emails sent at 2pm and then suddenly a 10am email appears in the account.

Yes thanks I see other people having issues, but no solutions provided. I hope OPTUS is listening!!

I believe the reference number 20033601 is the ticket raised for this issue and it was last updated at 2pm yesterday. Hopefully an Optus staff member can give more information on this.

is there an answer to this? Some emails take hours to be received - it is ridiculous!
