Reasonably tech savvy.
Have had cable with Optus for ages using a Motorola sb5100. Just got a replacement Netgear cm500v. I assumed all I needed to do was plug new thing in and all good?
Modem works and logs report channels locked etc. But no internet. Downstream and upstream lights are solid green most of the time but occasionally blink green.
Did I miss something?

Its possible you need to register the modem serial number with Optus.
