Old cable broadband removal

Now that we have had NBN at home for about 4 months are Optus going to remove the old cable and Broadband box from the side of my house at some time in the future? Or is it going to become a relic of past internet connections for all to see?

No doubt there will be a national clean up at some stage (you've read about all those copper thefts - its valuable stuff). But for now you'll just need to contact Optus direct (try the phone app) and request it be taken down. Optus will send someone out eventually - you normally don't need to be home or anything.
