My ADSL2+ speeds are horribly inadequate and i have been paying for ADSL2+ for the last 10-11months and have contacted Optus on multiple occassions regarding this to no reolve. Am i right to ask for some compensation or early termination without charge for not delivering on service? It is so frustrating for my family that internet speeds are so inadequate, and i am talking 1-2mbps download speeds and 0.5mnps uploads. 😞
It sounds like you are 4.2km from the exchange. I don't know what you will escape to. Sometimes other providers can be better, but you have to check the line length
If you have a congestion related problem then I would suggest you are well within your rights to cancel without penalty. You could ask for a discount on your bill however I would be weary of doing this unless they gave you a firm eta on a fix of the congestion issue.
