Says we are connected to the WIFI howver the internet is not working. Have paid all bills up to date and tried everything.

Internet periodically stops, due to line faults.
Your best bet is to powercycle your modem/router for atleast 30 secs and then turn it back on again, If it does not re establish a connection you will need to stay on the phone to speak to a useless team member
