Are you already on the NBN? If so it should be pretty quick.
Keep your old plan active while you port. The NBN will activate and setup and confirm everything is ok. After that contact your old provider and shut down your account.

As long as the order is actioned correctly, it's actually a very simple process.
We place an order for a "service transfer." The activation can potentially go through on the same day.
We do need to ensure that you’ve received your Optus supplied NBN modem before your schedule activation date, there should be little - no down time.
