I currently have a Huawei B818 on trial courtesy of Optus as a result of variable speeds and drop outs using a D Link to a Tower with which I have line of site.
Unfortunately the B818 although performing significantly better still provides variable speeds and the odd drop out. The speeds run up to 95 mbs after I reboot it and it go to band 28 but after about 15 minutes it reverts to Band 3 and the speeds come back to about 25-30 mbs with the odd drop out.
I reboot and it goes back to 95 mbs.
So, looking at the Huawei B525 62a, I have found comments on whirlpool that this this unit you can actually lock in a specific Band.
Suppliers contacted are vague and I do not want to purchase one and find it can not be locked to say 28. Does anyone on the forum have an answer.
Regards,
Colin
