My dear old mum who lives at home @ 83 keeps on having her phone line disconnect/not work which is only fixed by power cycling the router (sometimes two or three times before it reconnects), and even though we have shown her and written down instructions it is too hard for her to do This has been happening only since Optus forced her to go to NBN and the only answers we get from Optus is to power cycle the routers. (been going on perhaps 6 months and stops working a couple times a week)
Would anyone have any ideas on who could help me permanently fix this issue, living at home with no outside contact stresses her badly and today she had to miss an important doctors appointment as she couldn't ring a taxi and the ombudsmen is unwilling to help her
Hey @ironian, it awful to hear of the issues with your mum's service. From our end we can raise an incident with NBN for investigation, but we'll need to gather some more info.
Do you have access to your mum's account? If so, feel free to send me a private message with her full name, phone number and PIN. We'll have an NBN expert look into it and follow up.
