Specific account information is required so that we are able to discuss your particular service and confirm any upgrades/ maintenance or Network faults on the NODE/CMTS you're connected to. I can confirm not all NODES are affected by congestion so we need to treat each case separately to provide the correct information and time frames for each customer.

Haven't called to complain yet as I have another existing issue and I have only been with them a month. My Optus Speed test below - Brisbane, Cannon Hill, Cable.

Optus can we get an Update for fixes? When I go to Network Status. There is no zero information. And also says there is nothing happening at 2073. I assume this is the same for oher people, which are affected by the new congestion.
Can you please just treat us like customers and actually tell us whats going on and give us an ETA. This is ridiculous.

Hey Guys

 

Can understand your frustrations with this. We are constantly working to upgrade our Network to alleviate problems as we understand how important internet is to our customers. If you've logged a fault with tech support they can add your mobile number to the system so when there are upgrades taking place they can SMS you with details. I will also feedback the information about having details relating to Network congestion on our website but can confirm at this point in time the best avenue is to chat to our techs on 131344 and they can add your information to our system and also troubleshoot your connection for any other issues that may be causing the slow internet speeds.

I don't mean to shoot the messenger, but your last message basically says nothing and is the same BS we've been hearing for weeks/months now.

 

I know you can only say so much, but the fact is that 99% of us have logged jobs with the lacklustre tech support in the past. It's the usual routine - we ring and complain, get given a job number (after the usual rigmarole of restarting modems) with a verbal promise that someone will ring us back on our mobiles in a couple of days. A week later with no return call, we are then informed by the so-called "tech support" that the job has been closed, a new ticket is raised and it all starts again. Oh, and this is after they ask for our mobile numbers again.

 

I highly doubt that the website will show that there are network or congestion issues anytime soon - would that be an admission of guilt?

 

Basically, we want solutions and not excuses. The amounts we're paying should at least grant us that.

 

Anyway, rant over. And thanks for at least acknowledging this thread
