Huawei B818 Sync time failed from BBOU error

If anyone is having trouble with disconnections on Optus 4G Home Broadband, log into your router and check the log.
To check the log Click on Advanced / System / System Logs / Expand.
Scroll through the log and look for "Sync time failed from BBOU", if you see this message click on Network Settings / Mobile Network / Mobile Network Searching. 
If the Preferred network mode is set to Auto, use the drop down menu and select 4G only or one of the other 4G options.
A friend was having trouble with his connection, he previously had a stable connection I emailed him some screengrabs from my B818 Settings. One of his children had logged into the modem and been fiddling and the Preferred network mode setting had been changed.

@Tigers1719Sounds like you may need to factory reset the modem as you never know what the kid has done. Get your friend to install LTEHMonitor as it can log events like disconnect and tower cell swapping etc that may be useful.

I had a look at the logs and they do not appear to log the modem power on as I have a gap between the 29-April and this morning when I turned the modem on. I power the modem off overnight most nights.

 

Between the 29-April and this morning the logs show entries for epoch time and these have the "Sync time failed from BBOU". Below is the logs showing the BBOU.

@AndS Thanks for the reply.
Everything is now working as expected been a stable connection for a few days.
I didn't want to do a factory reset unless necessary as when I set it up for him, I added the VPN providers DNS would work on any Device connected to the network.
I am an Optus user.
