My home internet wifi suddenly not responsding.
Yesterday night I was using internet then suddenly my laptop lost connection to modem.
My telephone line is working properly
I can see internet connection on my wifi setting
But can not connect to internet.
I switched off modem, restarted my laptop
Nothing is working.
Optus is not taking calls. I have lodged my fault with them but so far no response
Have you tried to factory reset the modem - insert paperclip in the restart hole for 10 seconds with power on the modem. It will reboot - any customised settings you programmed previously would need to be re-entered.
Does your modem connect the exchange line with an ADSL splitter or is your phone service provided via an NBN service by direct connection to the wall socket, or via a white NBN NCD or a black NBN HFC Modem?
Is your Wi-Fi Button on the modem ON and solid Green or if a modern Optus modem, White Icon ?
Check to see that the Wi-Fi button is ON - do you have a mobile phone to test the wireless connectivity to the modem.
Also , when you plug the PC into a yellow coloured LAN port, can you connect to the Internet?
