Hi we are renting a house at present while we build a brand new house.
In our rental, we hooked up to Optus Cable and we have had great internet service.
Our new house build has just completed and we are ready to move in. We have checked and we can get Optus Cable again in our street where the new house is.
We have booked a house move with Optus and the technician will come next week. Terrific.
Question - when the technician comes, is he going to go out into the street and connect our new house to the Optus cable out there?
(we are ready for a new cable connection at the house and I have wired a LAN into all the bedrooms etc throughout the house)

Great news @David1111
The technician will go out and install the overhead lead -in and LIC (lead-in conduit)
They'll also have to install a CAU (Customer access unit) that's a box that's attached to a wall on the outside of the home.
There's also the coaxial socket that'll need to be installed on the inside.
A standard cable installation can take between 2-3 hours.
