High Ping to Taiwan Server

MurpB

Good day

Need some advice please. We have a Optus LTE Modem (Haiwei) and we are getting high ping rates to a IP Address in Hong Kong. We use this connection for some work that we do and need to improve our ping speeds.

What is the best way to get someone at Optus to help us and to get them to check the route that we are going through to see if anything can be improved?

Here is a tracert that I did to the IP Address in Question and would appreciate any advice or assistance.

Tracing route to 203.85.37.42 over a maximum of 30 hops

Re: High Ping to Taiwan Server

Paddylee

Its around 7,500 Kms from Sydney (Australian exit point) to Hong Kong.

This is this jump:

11 33 ms 38 ms 38 ms 198.142.139.116
12 147 ms 149 ms 148 ms 203.208.131.225

You wont get too much better (unless you can alter the physics of light)

Tested it over a business connection and get 168ms (fibre) so yours is good.
