Hi Just wondering if there was a fix for the high latency that I'm experiencing on my Optus Cavle Broadband connection. I've attached a Tracert test...

Hey there @mpather - Not good to hear that you've been experiencing issues with your connection 😞 Are you experiencing slow speeds right now or just the high latency?
Hi mpather,
Try doing a speedtest from this site: Optus Speed Test
(make sure you click on the option to "auto select" a server)
Then post your ressults of the following:
Latency:
Download Speed:
Upload Speed:
run a speedtest in the morning, and then in the evening. (say 7am and then 7pm).
The best thing to do is make sure that your computer is the only one connected to the internet and that you are not downloading or uploading anything at the time of the test.
Also are you using Cable or ADSL (if ADSL, how far from the exchange are you)?
If you get on with your neighbours and they have the same connection as you, then try doing a speedtest on their network (or ask them) and post your results here.
This will hopefully help indicate if it's a network bandwidth issue or "congestion" as Optus like to put it.
Regards,
Beetroot
I have use VDO conference via destination prefixes, I found bad resolution and use slowly.
