I just got an email from Optus telling me not to disconnect my aerial cable to my house, and if I have disconnected my service and want it gone to contact them to do so safely.
This email seemed to directed specifically at me rather than just a general mail out type of email.
Was wondering if anyone else got it, or if there would be a reason why I got it.

Hey Bob @Why9
If the notification had a picture of a house and a diagram of the Optus Aerial Cable etc, I have been told this is a generic safety notification sent to all customers.
I would suggest there have been incidents where people are just removing the cables themselves for reno's etc and causing hazards.
Hope this clears that up for you, nothing to worry about, just some handy information if its ever needed.
