We are trying to setup our DVR and need to change IP for security reasons.
Optus technical teams are hopeless and unprofessional just took us in loop and didn't fix n resolve our concern in last 2 week.
Complain management team called and narrated complete opposite complain what he enquired.
We requested to change IP as it didn’t change since last 6 months.
Technical team person called and said we had requested for static IP (fix IP).
So did turning off the router for half an hour or so give you a new IP?
I'm not sure how technically minded you are. For setting up a DVR there's generally no need or benefit to change the external IP address Optus connect to you with. They're is in general no benefit to changing this address for security reasons.
As @caaf says, turning the modem of over night will probably see a new address assigned by Optus
Tried all the solutions which I am aware like
1) Switch off router and NTD overnight.
2) Reset modem and NTD
3) Optus tech team tried from their end by remote reseting
Nothing worked so far.
