Do i need the Sagem F@ST 5366 TN?

Hi, my current Optus cable setup is as follows:

Wall Socket > Netgear CMV500 > Sagem 5366TN > Google Nest Wifi 3 pack.

Wifi has been turned off in the 5366TN because everything is connected to the Google mesh network (connected to 5366TN with cat6), so what is the purpose of the Sagem gateway?

Can i bypass the 5366TN and simply connect the Google mesh main hub directly to the CMV500 with a cat6 cable?

I assume you are not using the 5366's phone ports, so I can't see why not. The Google mesh main hub should have routing functionality so you should be good to go.
