Can't create account or sms to check data usage

I recently got Optus Mobile Broadband and once everything was set up I tried to create an account with Optus and it won't let me. When I try and use the sms feature of the modem it just says "failed to send". I'm not sure why none of this is working correctly but at the moment I have no way to monitor my data usage

I think the SMS feature only works with prepaid and I'm assuming you are using postpaid? You may need assistance from support if setting up an account is not working for you. Try the live chat when you get a spare moment.
