Call Waiting Fiasco

Hi There,

 

I spent all of last week with Optus (four calls) and finally got them to turn off my call waiting, supposely permanently. I ended calling support and finally had a guy fixe it ont the spot. All was good for about 3-4 days and, this morning, my call waiting in back on for no reason that I can see. It is playing havoc with our EFTPOS and fax, so needs to be permanently off. Have never had this issue in previous years. Thanks

Yes call waiting does have a tendency to cause issues with other equipment on the line. Have you had a go at turning this off yourself as the instructions on the link below look fairly simple as even I can understand them. Smiley Happy

Thanks for that.

 

Yep you can manually turn it off on a per call basis, by dialling the short-cut numbers. However, this only turns it off for the particular call in questions. It then turns straight back on!

 

To have it turned off permamently these days, you have to "chat with us". Have done! No luck!

Ah sorry I should have known that as I have answered this question before. Smiley Sad I guess it's back to the live chat and another request to turn it off.
