BYO router (Asus) for FTTP setting

Have switched from TPG to Optus. Had Asus router working fine

Have connected supplied Optus router and is working.

But can't get Asus to work

Want to clarify what information and settings are needed. Is set as pppoe using my email username and password (which are working). But not luck. Optus themselves can't/won't help as is BYO.

Just being able to change base IP from .0.1 to .1.1 would be enough, but that change is blocked

Re: BYO router (Asus) for FTTP setting

Are you using the optus router for the landline? If not just unplug it and connect the fttp cat 5 cable direct to the WAN port in the Asus. No credentials needed.

Sounds like you have the 5366TN. A new firmware was released yesterday that fixes the IP problem. The new version is SG4Y1T000085. It may be available to you by now, just reboot the 5366TN , wait a few minutes after you have internet connection and see if you have been updated.

I have FTTC and my ASUS works directly no problems.

On your ASUS, change connection type to Automatic IP.
