BYO Linksys Router

 I am using third party Link SYS VOIP. I am able to connect and I got Phone Link on my Linksys VOIP adapter. In Information it is showing Online. I am able to get dialtone as well. I am not able to make call or receive call, When I dial some wrong number it mention optus advise it is wrong number. Correct number I immediately get engage tone.

Is there any issue with call string? What should be correct one? How to resolve this issue. I configure everything so I am able to get link but only making and receiving call is issue.

So are you using the Linksys router in place of the Optus supplied one? Is the Linksys VoIP part of the Linksys router or another device?

I ask because if you are plugging any VoIP device into the Optus router then that almost certainly will cause problems making/receiving calls.

As for dial plans, they should not have any affect in incoming calls.

I'm using a Linksys PAP2-NA ATA behind an ASUS router, without any Optus routers in the mix. Here is my dialplan.:

(*xx|13[1-9]xxxS0|1[38]00xxxxxxS0|190xxxxxxx!|000S0|0011xxxxx.|[2-9]xxxxxxxS0|0[2-9]xxxxxxxxS0)

I've had no problem with my dial plan for Australian numbers. I've never needed to use international direct dial, but my dial plan includes it as per "0011xxxxx." above.

If the changes your are making are just to the dial plan it will have no affect on you receiving calls.

When dialtone come then I dial number after few min it come with engage tone.

What you are describing typically happens because you plugged in a VoIP device into the Optus router, so like this:

Phone Line->NBN Box->Optus Router->Linksys VoIP

This causes problems because the Optus router is intercepting the VoIP traffic.

And the reason that calls work sometimes (like for a few minutes) is likely because Optus router sees VoIP traffic on incoming calls, opens the necessary ports to handle the call, and your Linksys VoIP gets the calls because the Optus router opened the ports for you. When that happens typically you can then make outgoing calls for a few minutes because the ports will stay open for a while.

After that time passes, the VoIP ports on the Optus router get closed, and you can't make outgoing calls until the next time you get an incoming call.

Are you able to make /receive calls wit Asus router with Linksys?

Yes, I can make incoming and outgoing calls normally. My FTTC setup is as follows:

Phone Line->NBN Box->ASUS router->Linksys VoIP

I did have to make some minor configuration changes to the ASUS router (forwarding ports 5060-5061, and disabling SIP ALG)  because I was having the exact same problems as you with regard to only being able to make outgoing calls for a few minutes after I received an incoming call.

Re: BYO Linksys Router

I have NBN deviec--> ASUS Router-->Linksys --> Line 1(Optus) and Line 2 (Mynetfone). I am able to make and receive call from My netfone (Line 2) but not able to make call from Optus (line 1).

That config will only work for Optus VoIP if you have configured Line 1 with Optus' SIP registration/configuration details. If you have done that configuration, where did you get the details from?
