$3.95 for not setting Direct-debit

Just received the new bill, I was charged $2.20 for non-direct-debit fee, and plus $1.75 for bill payment fee. I did know about $2.20, but was never told about the bill payment fee. And used the live chat to ask about it, the agent said this fee "may occur" with the non-direct-debit fee. Hey, so now, Optus really makes me nervous, will Optus add more different fees later to push customers (who don't like direct debit) to use direct debit?
