On Sunday 27 August at 11am AEST, undefeated boxer, Floyd “The Money” Mayweather Jr and two-weight UFC World Champion, Conor McGregor will go head-to-head in a boxing match held in Las Vegas.

 

You can watch what is expected to be the highest grossing fight in the history of both boxing and MMA live on Yes TV by Fetch pay-per-view in Australia. The hotly anticipated sporting event is available to buy for $59.95.

How to purchase live pay-per-view on your Yes TV by Fetch set-top box

 

Yes TV by Fetch customers can purchase Pay-per-view events on their Mighty, Generation 2 or Mini set-top box (not available on Generation 1*).

 

The Mayweather vs McGregor fight will available to buy for $59.95 from Monday 14 August and up until six hours after the scheduled card start time on Sunday 27 August, 11am AEST.

 

To purchase the fight, follow these instructions:

1. On your set-top box, head to Menu > Manage > Subscriptions

2. Select the Mayweather vs McGregor fight and hit the green button to ‘subscribe’. You will then need to enter your set top box PIN number to confirm the purchase

Your account will be charged at the time of your purchase and you will not be able to cancel your order. If the event is cancelled however, you’re entitled to a refund.

 

Please note: you can prevent children from purchasing PPV events without your consent through the use of your PIN.

 

Ways to watch the event

 

Once purchased, you can watch the event at home on your TV once the live feed starts (channel 991 in the EPG Guide) and also on-the-go on your mobile or tablet via the Yes TV by Fetch companion app.

 

The entire fight card will also be available on catch up two hours after the Mayweather / McGregor Fight ends, and will be available for 30 days. 

 

There will also be additional content added to the Catch-Up app in the lead up to the fight, available to customers who have purchased the PPV event.

 

Make sure you purchase the fight from 14/8 in order to access the additional content in Catch-Up from Monday.

 

Go to Menu > TV > Catch Up > Mayweather McGregor

 

You can set your Parental Lock to PG to prevent children from watching PPV events without your consent.

 

I’m an existing Optus customer, how do I get Yes TV by Fetch?

 

If your plan is eligible for Yes TV by Fetch, visit your nearest Optus store or contact us on 133 937 to add a Yes TV by Fetch set-top box to your existing account.

 

  • Eligible postpaid mobile customers: Add the Yes TV by Fetch Mini for an extra $10 per month

  • Eligible home broadband customers: Add the Yes TV by Fetch Mighty for an extra $15 per month

Please remember, for existing customers it will take up to 5 business days for your Yes TV by Fetch set-top box to be delivered. So if you don’t already have Yes TV by Fetch, make sure you order your service before 18 August to ensure you can watch the Mayweather vs McGregor fight on 27 August.

 

In selected stores, you can get your Yes TV by Fetch set-top box there and then if stock is available.

 

I’m not an Optus customer, how do I get Yes TV by Fetch?

 

If you’re new to Optus, sign up to an eligible postpaid mobile plan and add a Yes TV by Fetch Mini service for $10 per month before 18 August to make sure there’s enough time to get your set-top box delivered if there are none available in store. Yes TV by Fetch is also included in the $80 home broadband plan, but we can’t guarantee that your Mighty box will be delivered in time for the fight.

 

*If you have a Yes TV by Fetch Generation 1 set-top box, we are currently offering customers the chance to upgrade to a Generation 2 set-top box at no extra cost to you as the Gen 1 box is being discontinued. Please see here for more details.

Pay Per View: Available to eligible Yes TV by Fetch subscribers (excludes Mobi App). Account will be charged once you purchase a Pay Per View event, and order cannot be cancelled.  You can purchase within six hours of a live Event, but will be charged the full amount. There is no ability to record Events. Events are subject to change. You are entitled to a refund if the event is cancelled, or the schedule is changed.

Great, good job guys.  Cost is about that of a few drinks and a couple of taxis to watch it at the pub, and this way the only fight I'll get into would be with the missus or the dogs!  Robot tongue

Bish Bash Boris, why don't you get the missus to fight the dogs, that way you can watch the boxing in peace.

As for me, I'll just stay out of the loop for a few hours, then watch it live delayed.
