Thank you for pre-ordering the new Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8+ from Optus.

 

Since you placed your order, we have revised our handset repayments pricing on both devices on selected plans, which means you’ll get your new phone for less money. You’ll notice these changes from your next bill.

Question, I'm currently on the $65 plan and paying $30 for the phone. Would there be any issues with me changing the plan to $85 and paying $15 for the phone. I like that. A flat $100 a month. 😁

Hi @Sasman, changing your mobile plan doesn't change your contract. This means even if you move to the $85 plan your handset charge will remain the same $30. Feel free to PM us your mobile number, full name, date of birth for ID and I can confirm this.

Yes @Wingab you can move up the plan anytime without any plan change fee but your handset charge will remain the same.

Yes, it's retroactively applied due to the changes being made mid launch.

@Aman_B i spoke to optus last night on live chat and they said only people that got the SMS from Optus gets this new pricing. Is that  true? Coz my sister got a SMS but i didnt though

No problem here mate. It's just someone above mentioned people get 4.5Gs on the $65 plan. Thought it was always 3.5GB.

When i signed up for the 65 plan. There was a bonus 1gb promotion or something. Seems like its gone now. I asked for my contract to be emailed to me so the critical information summary about my plan was emailed via link.... which doesnt work as well.
