Thank you for pre-ordering the new Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8+ from Optus.

Since you placed your order, we have revised our handset repayments pricing on both devices on selected plans, which means you’ll get your new phone for less money. You’ll notice these changes from your next bill.

Please see the revised handset pricing below:

@jw170874 you're such an anchor!! Should be cheaper why don't you just ask them to give a a free plan bette yet why don't they pay you to take a plan. You're a whinger mate!

Question, I'm currently on the $65 plan and paying $30 for the phone. Would there be any issues with me changing the plan to $85 and paying $15 for the phone. I like that. A flat $100 a month. 😁

Hi @Sasman, changing your mobile plan doesn't change your contract. This means even if you move to the $85 plan your handset charge will remain the same $30. Feel free to PM us your mobile number, full name, date of birth for ID and I can confirm this.

Hey @Malissa, the price drop is for all the pre ordersSmiley Happy

Yes @Wingab you can move up the plan anytime without any plan change fee but your handset charge will remain the same.

So, even though I got the phon on 20th April, the new pricing will be applied?

by Valued Contributor
‎2017-04-28 02:13 PM

Yes, it's retroactively applied due to the changes being made mid launch.

When i signed up for the 65 plan. There was a bonus 1gb promotion or something. Seems like its gone now. I asked for my contract to be emailed to me so the critical information summary about my plan was emailed via link.... which doesnt work as well.
