Everyone always tells me how amazing the screens are on the Xperia range so keen to get your thoughts on it @caaf. Also the camera
Hey all once I get my hands on it I'll be able to start babbling on about it.. Being an Apple man it should be a good new adventure..
It certainly comes across as a very capable machine and it if can survive the test with these accident prone hands I'm sure it'll stand the test of time for a "normal" person lol.
You’ll be right Dave. The main difference between the two devices is the Android doesn’t come with a spoon and bib.
Can I start by saying “NOICE”.
The dramatic screen size and resolution is a sure realisation and reason why allot of folks have jumped ship. I've not even pealed off the factory protection and I'm very keen to stumble my way around the functions.
By no means is this a negative, however I do wish I hadn't cut my nails recently as a stabbing device came out to remove the SIM/micro SD tray as these fat fingers just couldn't get to it, mind I do like the idea of the single tray for both cards as it will make life easier for future removal/insertions. I recall in the past folks having put the SIM in the SD slot and managed to make it a permanent resident requiring either someone more adventurous or some form of service tech intervention.
Those expecting me to sink this beast into a bowl of water and take a happy snap will sadly be disappointed. The main reason being absolute fear, it's only been a few hours playing with its various function and if one was to read the fine print at Sony it loosely says “please don't” plus I'll add the thoughts in the back of the head say NNNOOOOOOOO.. Sure if I knew it had that fancy molecular internal waterproofing I'd even stick it in the washing machine filming in 4K just for giggles.
So for now this tired brain will have a play but rest assure I'll update as I progress through some of the finer things. I will add that updates will be in the evening once I'm home with the feet up and after I wash the phone (because I can) from the days work adventures.
I am with ya on the fiddly simcard micro sdcard arrangements on some of the Android phones and the dual tray on your new phone sounds like an excellent idea.
