Optus

This is an update for our Yes TV by Fetch customers. As of the 29th of June the You Tube App will no longer be supported on the Gen 1 and 2 Yes TV by Fetch set top box. YouTube has made a global decision to remove support for the flash version of the app that runs on both Gen 1 and Gen 2 boxes.

The Gen 1 and Gen 2 version was built in Flash, which YouTube has decided to no longer support. Any Flash based YouTube apps will no longer work from the end of June. Non flash apps will continue to work.

The App will still be visible on the Yes TV menu with the message from YouTube stating that the app is no longer available.

There are many different versions of YouTube apps in the market which YouTube continues to support, please visit youtube.com/tvdevices for a list of devices you can use.

OK. Optus should replace the Fetch Set top Box because now there is a limitation (due to old technology of the currently supplied Set top box. Optus long standing customers shouldn't be penalized for "being loyal" to Optus. This App is still working on later model Optus Fetch Set up boxes supplied to "new" customers on the very same Optus Line+Broadband customers. All those in this situation should join up
