Q: Which devices can I purchase with OptusPay? A: You can purchase any mobile phone, tablet and Smart Watch with OptusPay when you sign up and stay connected to an eligible SIM plan.
Q: How many devices can I get with OptusPay? A: There is a limit of one OptusPay plan per device and per eligible Optus SIM plan.
Q: Can I decide to pay the remaining amount in full at any time? A: Yes. If you decide to pay the remaining cost of your device in full before the end of your OptusPayterm, you’ll need to pay out any remaining device payments in full. Any applicable device credits or discounts will be forfeited.
Q: What happens if I decide to cancel or change my Optus SIM plan? A: If you cancel your eligible Optus SIM plan or move to an ineligible Optus SIM plan, your will no longer be able to use OptusPay and , you’ll need to pay out any remaining device payments in full. Any applicable device credits or discounts will be forfeited.
Q: Can I get a device with OptusPay without an Optus SIM plan? A: No, you cannot purchase a device without an Optus SIM plan
Q: Is there any additional cost added to the total cost of the device when using OptusPay? A: There is no additional device cost when you use Optus Pay and all device purchases with OptusPay are interest free however, you will need to remain on an eligible Optus SIM plan for your full OptusPay term.
Standard plan fees will apply (including any applicable additional usage, bill late payment fees, credit card fees, delivery fees etc).
Q: Can I change the length of my OptusPay term after I have purchased my device? A: No, you won’t be able to change your OptusPay term after purchasing your device. If you are not satisfied anymore you will need to cancel your OptusPay and therefore pay out the remaining cost of the device.
Q: How do I make my OptusPay monthly instalment? A: You will have the same options for payment as you do for paying your Optus bill. You will be able to setup direct debit, pay with Bpay, your credit/debit card or POSTbillpay to make your monthly payment.
Note: You will receive a monthly Optus bill that you can access on your smartphone via My Optus App or on your desktop via MyAccount.
Q: What is the difference between OptusPay and my current device payment plan? A: Nothing has changed, it works the same. To make it clearer to our customers we have decided to rename device payment plan into OptusPay.
Q: Can I get OptusPay instead of my current device payment plan? A: You won’t need to change your current device payment plan to benefit from OptusPay as nothing changed except the name.
