We’re excited to announce that Optus Pay is now available to Prepaid customers with an eligible Android phone. It’s a great way to pay on the go, allowing you to make cashless payments of up to $100 using your smartphone.

How can you get Optus Pay?

Simply download the Optus Pay App from the Google Play store or go online to optus.com.au/cash to order your Optus Pay SIM. When you receive your SIM simply pop it in your smartphone and, if you haven’t already, downloaded the Optus Pay app and you’re ready to go.

So how does it work?

Just load money onto your Optus Pay facility and you’re ready to make secure payments.

How do you use it?

You can use Optus Pay in two ways.

  1. Wave your handset at contactless payment terminals anywhere in Australia where Visa payWave is accepted to make purchases of up to $100.
  2. Use the virtual card feature to make purchases of up to $250 online or over the phone.

Who can use it?

To use Optus Pay, you’ll need to be an Optus Mobile customer with an eligible Prepaid or Postpaid Android handset. Check to see if your handset’s eligible.

Also, be one of the first 10,000 customers to register by Dec 31 2015 and you’ll get $10 when you sign up, and another $5 after your first Optus Pay contactless transaction.

Sign up for Optus Pay now.

Been using this for  while now postpaid, it's great, easy to use.  Only 'down' is it can take some while for funds to be loaded but it's very handy to keep funds on incase you forget your wallet 🙂
